Energy efficient industrial induction heating systems
The unique induction heating technology utilizes new and innovative technique to make it the most efficient process heating solution in designated applications. The Swedish company offers a set of construction elements – induction heaters, power supply and control system – which can be combined to complete systems based on customer specification.
The technology is suitable for heating of strips, rollers and parts i.e. preheating, heat treatment, drying, crimping, lamination and de-lamination in manufacturing industry.
The technology is an alternative to conventional ovens, IR, gas burners and heat oil systems. The technology is also used to boost existing processes where it is difficult to install other heating solutions.
A range of Energy Efficient Industri
Metal working industry
Induction heating is applicable in many sectors of the metal working industry. In the steel industry as preheater prior to furnaces or for drying of steel strips in various coating processes.
Vehicle manufacturing
In manufacturing of heavy vehicles and construction equipment shrink fitting is used for various assembly operations. Shrink fitting requires either an intensive cooling to shrink one part or heating up one part to
expand it.
Mining equipment manufacturing
In manufacturing of mining equipment shrink fitting is used for various assembly operations. Shrink fitting requires either an intensive cooling to shrink one part or heating up one part to expand it.
Packaging industry
Packaging includes many different materials and combination of materials that are in some processes joined together by heating. Heating is either applied directly to the material or indirectly over heated rollers or surfaces.
Laminating industry
Laminating of material is done by a combination of heat and pressure. Pressure is supplied by rollers creating nip where the material is pressed together. Pressure can also be supplied by belts that are pressed together in for example Double Belt Presses.
Food processing and baking
Induction heating is today very common in our kitchens where induction stoves are replacing old electrical stoves as well as gas stoves. The efficiency you get by induction in the kitchen can also be achieved in industrial food processing lines.
Waste handling and Recycling industry
The responsibility of industry today is that most of a product must be possible to recycle and such processes as de-bonding material often require heating of a metal core. Induction heating can be an efficient alternative for heating.
Textile & Fiber industry
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna
Printing industry
Printing industry includes heating of rollers in some printing techniques and there MagComp Induction heating technology can be an alternative to thermal oil or other heating systems.
Rubber industry
Rubber manufacturing industry includes heating of tools, inserts, rollers and other components.

Our Technology
Modern induction heaters
Whether heating a flat surface or a cylindrical workpiece, the flux path outside the workpiece stores high amounts of magnetic energy that sends out hazardous electromagnetic fields, decreases the power factor and creates excess losses. This is a common problem related to many electromagnetic components and are usually solved with laminated iron to close the field lines. Due to the high frequency currents of induction heaters, laminated magnetic steel would be heated in the same way as the workpiece. Instead, electrically non-conductive SMC can be used to close the flux lines and thus reducing the stored magnetic energy. MagComp has taken it further and is using its unique SM2C material to surround the induction coil and close the magnetic circuit. The SM2C is used for several reasons; to improve the efficiency of the heating system and power factor of the heating coil, also to reduce stray magnetic fields and to focus the heat (magnetic field) where it is desired in the workpiece.
Simulation
Precise simulations are very useful when designing heating inductors since different geometries, different materials etc. can easily be studied. Depending on the complexity of the model, either pure electromagnetic, steady-state properties are investigated, or the power dissipation can be used as the source to a coupled, transient, thermodynamic simulation. Simulation of the complete system using various simulation tools, is also very useful for understanding the specific system components and to be able to optimize the system. MagComp have models to simulate the complete system and to calculate the specification and performance of each system component. MagComp has developed tools for verifying simulation results and have extensive knowledge in the performance of the induction heating system. The correlation between simulations and the measured results is very good and therefore MagComp uses simulation for all customer specific system designs.
